Mary  Dinah  Unveils Parks and Gardens in Ellington,  Commits to Environment

Lady Mary Dinah, a renowned philanthropist and humanitarian, has officially opened the Lady Mary Dinah Park, a sprawling 10,000 square meter biodiversity park comprising nine  parks and gardens in the heart of Ellington.

The park aims to cultivate a love for nature among children through outdoor play and educational activities, inspiring a new generation of environmental stewards.

Lady Dinah, also Founder and CEO of the Mary Dinah Foundation  is a prominent environmental advocate and philanthropist renowned for her dedicated support and interventions on behalf of vulnerable populations.”

The foundation which is rated as one of the the largest in the world focuses on vulnerable populations, including children, women, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), people with disabilities, and the elderly. It also tackles malnutrition through  distribution of dietary foods in local communities and conflict areas

Since becoming the Lady of Ellington, she has been passionate about transforming green spaces into vibrant parks. The Lady Mary Dinah Park, said to be her crowning achievement, will provide a haven for families to reconnect with nature and learn about environmental stewardship.

The park features interactive programs, collaborations with local schools, and activities designed to foster a sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world. Native trees will be planted to enhance local biodiversity, creating habitats for wildlife and promoting ecological balance.
