Nehita Irieme Wraps Up Directorial Debut, ‘In Her Shoes’

Nollywood actress, Nehita Ofure Irieme has completed her directorial debut, ‘In Her Shoes’, a poignant and compelling narrative that delves into the intricate facets of identity, resilience, and self-discovery.

The film ‘In Her Shoes’ according to the budding filmmaker, is a heartwarming drama that tells the story of Ene, a young woman navigating the complexities of life, love, and personal growth. The coming-of-age film which dates back to the early 2000s, captures the ability to rewrite one’s destiny.

Ene, a young woman who was traumatised by her mother as a child now finds herself in her own dilemma. Will she walk in her mother’s shoes or change the pattern?

According to Nehita, with a lineup of talented cast, ‘In Her Shoes’ promises to resonate with audiences on a profound level, offering a fresh perspective on family history and patterns.

“Directing, Producing and playing a lead Character is one of the most challenging experiences I’ve had so far. ‘In Her Shoes’ has been an incredible journey and a labour of passion and dedication, and I am thrilled to share it with the world. I believe it will touch the hearts of many and spark important conversations about Family Patterns and self-acceptance,” she said.

The film features an amazing cast who bring depth and authenticity to their roles. Nehita plays the role of Ene, alongside Boma Akpore, who plays the character Femi, Chucks Joseph, Loveth Ogbene, Etta JoMaria, Ese Idia, Ediale Edna, Sarah Chika, Daniel Olatunji, Adamma Aladiri, Becky Nwanacho, Irieme Iredia and Precious Okorosobo among others

Nehita Irieme is a filmmaker and storyteller passionate about exploring diverse narratives and pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling. 

The young actress honed her Acting and Filmmaking abilities at the KAP Film and Television Academy, Royal Arts Academy, AFRIFF Acting Workshop and Stunt Acting Masterclass.

Some of her acting credits include; Netflix’s Ijogbon, To Love Again, Ezinwa, Sammie And Gina as well as unreleased titles like Lasgidi Cops, Smart Money Woman 2, The Illustrator, Loving Halima, Box Of Happiness and My Glooming Days.
