Chukwu Mourns Iwuanyanwu, Condoles Bereaved Family in Abuja

An accomplished Imo born business czar, technocrat, scholar, and philantropist of note, Dr. Ejike Chukwu (MON, FCIA), Founder of Ejike Chukwu Foundation, has expressed shock over the passing of the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Engr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiejemba).


Chukwu joined Nigerians and other Imo leaders to mourn the demise of the respected elder statesman and true patriot, Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who joined his ancestors on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of 82 years, after a brief illness.


In a statement, it was disclosed that; “I received rather with rude shock and a heavy heart the news of the sudden demise of our father, leader, respected elder statesman, and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Engr. Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, CFR (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo), at a critical time when we still need to draw very immensely from the wells of his human wisdom and fatherly counsel in bridge building and peaceful coexistence, especially, in the South East.”


Chukwu described the late sage, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, as a patriotic Nigerian leader and established business mogul with diverse interests in road construction; civil engineering, shipping, airline, media, philantropy and political leadership, maintaining that his footprints and legacies are fond memories that would be treasured for a long time.


According to him: the late Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu’s passing is a significant loss to the Igbo nation and the entire country. He was a true patriot, a devoted lover of his people, a successful businessman, a distinguished Nigerian politician, a core Igboland, and a pan- Africanist.
Condoling with the Iwuanyanwu family, the Umuohiii Atta community in Ikeduru LGA, and the good people of Imo State, on behalf of his family and the Ejike Chukwu Foundation, Dr. Ejike Chukwu (MON, FCIA) reiterated that their late patriarch lived a fulfilled and well accomplished life during his times, assuring the bereaved family of the continued support and prayers of members of the Ejike Chukwu Foundation.


Chukwu was received at the Abuja residence of the late Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, CFR, by the bereaved wife, Lolo Frances Iwuanyanwu, the son, Mr. Jide Iwuanyanwu and other members of the deceased family during his condolence visit.
