FOGDEV’s Remote Work Training Program Achieves Major Success with 800 Participants

Following the success of its pilot program in November 2023, Focus on Growth and Development Foundation (FOGDEV) is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its latest Remote Work Training Program.

Conducted virtually from Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to Monday, July 29, 2024, this training equipped approximately 800 beneficiaries from Nigeria and beyond with essential skills for thriving in remote work environments.

The Remote Work Training Program was designed to address the growing demand among young professionals seeking remote work opportunities. The program focused on several key areas to enhance participants’ chances of securing remote positions and advancing their careers.

Over the course of five days, participants learned how to effectively tailor their CVs and portfolios to stand out in the competitive job market. The training also covered strategies for acing international interviews, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, and leveraging AI tools to boost job searches and career progression. Additionally, attendees were introduced to various tools and workspaces suited to different job roles, ensuring they are well-prepared for remote work challenges.

The virtual format of the training allowed FOGDEV to reach a wide audience, including professionals both within Nigeria and from other countries. The use of interactive online platforms facilitated real-time learning and engagement, despite geographical distances.
