Fintava Partners BiziPay to Empower over 100,000 People in Jigawa State

Nigerian Fintech, Fintava has announced its groundbreaking partnership with BiziPay, aimed at powering the financial inclusion of over 100,000 people in Jigawa State through its innovative banking-as-a-service technology.

Key to this transformative partnership is BiziPay, a Kano-based agent network. Leveraging BiziPay’s extensive agent presence in Jigawa State, Fintava will open accounts for the unbanked population, ensuring they have access to essential financial services.

The initiative is in collaboration with the Jigawa State government’s effort to establish palliative shops that only accept cashless transactions. To facilitate this, Fintava will provide customized PoS and ATM cards, enabling the newly included individuals to seamlessly access essential goods and services from these shops.

The palliative shops were recently commissioned by Vice President Kashim Shettima by invitation of the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.

Dr. Aminu Bizi, the founder of BiziPay and a renowned financial inclusion expert, praised Fintava’s technology, stating, “Fintava’s financial technology is arguably one of the best in the country due to its ease, simplicity, and flexibility.”

Samuel Ojerinde, COO at Fintava, expressed his enthusiasm about the project, noting, “Our role in financially including 100,000 people in Jigawa State solidifies our place as a major player in the Nigerian fintech industry. This partnership with BiziPay demonstrates our commitment to driving financial inclusion and providing accessible banking solutions to underserved communities.”

Fintava’s mission to empower individuals through financial technology continues to gain momentum, and this partnership marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey. By bringing modern financial services to the people of Jigawa State, Fintava is not only enhancing their access to essential goods but also contributing to the broader goal of financial inclusion in Nigeria.
