Modupe Ehinlaiye Champions Nigerian Excellence in Canada with Bond Awards

Modupe Ehinlaiye, a dual-qualified legal professional with a diverse background in banking and entrepreneurship, is making waves in Canada as the convener of the Bond Awards.

Bond Awards, to be held on September 13th, is an event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Nigerians across the Canadian diaspora.

Originally from Nigeria, Ehinlaiye relocated to Canada in 2006, where she has since taken on impactful roles in various fields, from law to entrepreneurship.

Upon her arrival in Canada, Modupe transitioned from running an educational franchise to a career in family law, where she became a passionate advocate for women experiencing separation and divorce.

Her dedication to service extended beyond the courtroom, as she also served as an Administrative Judge with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.

In February 2023, Modupe launched the “Talk with Mo” show, a platform designed to inspire and motivate audiences through the power of storytelling.

She is also the founder of “Women of Destiny,” a support group for widows and their children in Ontario, reflecting her deep commitment to community service.

However, it is the Bond Awards that stand as a testament to Ehinlaiye’s vision of changing the narrative about Nigerians in the diaspora.

The Bond Awards is the only event of its kind in Canada, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Nigerians across the country.

By recognising these accomplishments, the Bond Awards aims to inspire the next generation to strive for greatness and to provide a beacon of hope for the community.

Speaking about the Bond Awards, the convener said, “The Bond Awards is more than just a celebration; it’s a platform to showcase the positive contributions of Nigerians in Canada.

“We aim to change the narrative, inspire the next generation, and remind our community that we have much to be proud of. It’s about recognising excellence and setting a standard for what can be achieved.”

Her journey is a remarkable blend of resilience, empathy, and dedication. With a law degree, an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and various certifications, she serves on the boards of nonprofit organisations, including Effect Hope, showcasing her unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts.

Her work, whether through the Bond Awards, her legal practice, or her show, reflects a deep commitment to empowering others and creating positive change in the community.
