The Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom, Hajia Sekinat Adams, and her deputy, Hon. Tunmise Ajiboye, have urged Nigerian youths to halt ongoing protests and engage in meaningful dialogue with the government of President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement released on Saturday, the leaders emphasised President Tinubu’s commitment to an open-door policy, which encourages direct communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, particularly the youth.
They acknowledged the valid concerns and passion driving the youth to demand change and better governance but believe that peaceful dialogue and constructive engagement with the government are the most effective and sustainable ways to address these issues.
“President Tinubu has consistently shown his dedication to listening to the people and addressing their concerns,” said Hajia Sekinat Adams.
“We urge our fellow youths to take this opportunity to engage in dialogue with the government, ensuring that their voices are heard in a way that fosters unity and progress.”
“The future of Nigeria lies in the hands of its youth. By choosing dialogue over protest, we can work together with President Tinubu’s administration to create lasting solutions and build a brighter future for our country.”
The APC UK Youth Leaders encouraged all Nigerian youths to embrace this call for dialogue, emphasizing that through open communication and cooperation, the nation can overcome its challenges and achieve peace and prosperity.
They also urged youth leaders and representatives to actively participate in the dialogue process, ensuring that the concerns of the youth are addressed in a constructive and effective manner.
