Versatile Hyundai STARIA MPV Now in Nigeria’s Auto Market

Hyundai Nigeria Limited has introduced the 2024 Hyundai STARIA into the Nigerian market. One of the world’s safest Multi Purpose Vehicles (MPVs), the exceptionally comfortable and versatile STARIA is now available in all Hyundai dealership showrooms across the country.

Though hatched in wagon, Premium, Cargo and Hybrid models, what is currently on sale in Nigeria is the STARIA Wagon, which is available in 9-seater and 11-seater respectively.

Targeted at Schools and large families, the 2024 STARIA wagon is also ideal for executive Shuttle service providers and pool transport facility for corporate executives.

STARIA Wagon, like other versions, comes equipped with best-in-class safety features, including front and side airbags as well as twin grand curtain airbags, shielding rear-row occupants. STARIA offers an option to add as many as six additional airbags, and all seats come with three-point seat belts and headrests.

The MPV also comes with other active safety packages, including Lane Following Assist (LFA), Blind-Spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA) and Highway Driving Assist (HDA).

The 2024 STARIA is also equipped with Hyundai’s most advanced system, known as HTRAC AWD (Hyundai TRACtion All Wheel Drive), an intelligent multi-mode system that provides all the benefits of an all-wheel drive traction, when additional grip is needed.

According to the company’s head of sales and Marketing, Mr. Gaurav Vashisht, a need for comfort and added guarantee of safety and peace of mind for its target buyers motivated Hyundai Nigeria to introduce the STARIA into the country.

Strikingly futuristic, STARIA’s sleek exterior design utilises discreet lines for maximum visual impact. Defined by a single fluid curve running from front to back, it is inspired by the halo that illuminates Earth’s horizon during sunrise when viewed from space, the company said in a statement.

And what is more? Buyers are served with choices of colours, ranging from Olivine Gray Metallic to Moonlight Blue Pearl, Graphite Gray Metallic, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Creamy White, Abyss Black Pearl and Dynamic Yellow.

Inspired by cruise ship lounge design, STARIAs interior provides a luxurious feeling and relaxed space, welcoming occupants with a wonderful feeling of openness and smart technologies that make driving and commuting a lot easier.

STARIAs cockpit is equipped with high-tech flair, which is centred on the brilliant 10.25″ centre screen. It supports phone mirroring with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Powered by Smartstream 3.5-liter, 272 hp engine mated onto 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic gearbox, producing 331 Nm (Newton Meter) of torque, the 2024 STARIA has ability to, from take-off, hit 100km per hour in 8.9 seconds, unlike Toyota Hiace, which does same at 17 seconds.
