FRCN Holds Audit, Other Assurance Providers’ Leadership Summit Tuesday

The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) has announced its upcoming Audit and Other Assurance Providers Leadership Summit.
The premier event is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2024, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, located at 52a Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.


According to a statement from the FRCN yesterday, “As the primary statutory agency responsible for regulating financial reporting and related stakeholders, including accountants and auditors, the FRCN is dedicated to fostering confidence among investors and ensuring high standards in accounting, auditing, actuarial practices, valuation, corporate governance, and non-financial reporting issues.


“To achieve these objectives, the Council actively promotes enlightenment within the market, encouraging all participants to pursue improved professionalism.”


The Annual Audit Summit aims to serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue between the Council and industry practitioners.
Key focus areas will include discussions on policy and regulatory frameworks, current industry challenges, emerging trends, and insights from the Council’s Practice Review of firms. Additionally, the summit will explore collaborative opportunities to foster best practices and innovative solutions within the auditing profession.
