Intern’l Youth Day: TPP Africa Hosts Emerge2024 at American Corner
In celebration of International Youth Day, the American Corner was a hive of youthful energy as The Peak Performer Africa, in collaboration with First Bank and McVities, successfully hosted the EMERGE2024 event.
The event brought together young minds from diverse backgrounds to engage, learn, and be inspired toward achieving peak performance in their personal and professional lives.
The highlight of the day was a keynote lecture delivered by the esteemed convener- Dr.Abiola Salami, who spoke passionately on the importance of Emotional Intelligence.
The lecture emphasised how mastering emotional intelligence can empower youth to navigate challenges, build meaningful relationships, and achieve long-term success. In addition to the keynote, the event featured three dynamic panel discussions. Each panel focused on the theme of “Peak Performance: The Place of Taking Personal Responsibility.”
Panelists, who were industry experts and thought leaders, shared their insights on the significance of personal accountability as a driver for achieving excellence. They encouraged the youth to take charge of their destinies, set high standards for themselves, Upskill, and commit to continuous personal growth.
EMERGE2024 underscored the vital role that the youth play in shaping the future, and it provided them with the tools and inspiration needed to reach their full potential. The day was also marked by interactive sessions, networking opportunities, and inspiring stories of personal transformation.
A key feature at the event was the unveiling of TPP Africa’s maiden list of 100 highly inspiring young Africans drawn from across multiple industries and the continent of Africa. This is to spotlight some highly inspiring young Africans who are making a significant impact in their respective fields, driving positive change across the globe and inspiring multiple generations.
TPP Africa extends its gratitude to the US Consulate, First Bank, and McVities for their generous sponsorship, which made the event a resounding success. The collaboration between these organisations demonstrates a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.

The Peak Performer Africa will be holding its flagship program – The Peak Performer Festival, from 18th – 20th of September with the theme “Driving An Inclusive Culture of Peak Performance – Leveraging The Magic of Emotional Intelligence.”
