HuaweiNigeria Digital Power Launches C&ISolutionand150K Series Inverter in Lagos, Nigeria
Huawei Nigeria Digital Power unveiled its latest innovation in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar market, the 150K series inverter, to a large group of energy sector partners, installers and EPCs, at a launch event in Lagos. This launch marks a significant milestone in Huawei’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, reliable, and efficient solar solutions for the African market.
Mr. Cruise Ni, Director of Huawei Nigeria Digital Power Business Dept, delivered his keynote address, which expanded on Huawei’s mission of building a high-quality solar industry in Sub-Saharan and more poignantly, Nigeria.
He explained that PV and ESS demand on the continent is growing quickly, thanks to the prices of commodities in the PV value chain decreasing and the continued increases in price of grid electricity. With the decline of photovoltaic costs and technological innovation, we welcome the arrival of “photovoltaic storage parity”. Now the photovoltaic + energy storage option will become the most economical energy source. High Diesel and electricity prices in Nigeria and the excellent return on investment of solar and battery will drive industry growth, and micro-grids will also become the mainstream of the next decade. As the brain of the PV system, the inverter plays a key role in driving 95% of the value with 8% of the investment.

Mr. Nick Lusson, VP of Huawei Digital Power Eastern-Africa introduced Huawei FusionSolar C&I solution features at the event, stressing that the 3 major challenges being faced globally for C&I photovoltaics (PV) are Safety-, Environmental- and Operational challenges. “The 150K series (SUN2000-150K-MG0 & SUN5000-150K-MG0) inverters, are built on Huawei’s new V6 platform, is a high-power C&I inverter designed to deliver exceptional performance and reliability. Mr. Orion Jin, C&I Channel Manager of Huawei Nigeria Digital Power Business Dept delivered a concluding presentation to partners that explained how Huawei offers ongoing support and training on its new product offering.
“Because it is a new product on the market, Huawei takes the responsibility of training partners on how to get the best out of its products,” said Orion Jin.
“As the first shipment of this product has already sold out, we are eager because we have also developed in-house courses for presales, sales and after sales services for our partners,” said Orion Jin.
Huawei’s next generation products offer advanced technical specifications, elegant and functional design and smart features that give it a competitive edge. These inverters are set to lead the market in a highly contested space.
Huawei also presented new residential products featuring several key features to unlock more potential. The Smart Guard is an accessory for the residential solar solutions, and now the 3-phase smart guard can manage up to 3 residential inverters. The new 3 phase smart guard also functions perfectly in off grid scenarios. And the new 3 phase residential inverters call the MAP0 inverters can function even in an unbalanced load with unbalanced phases.
Huawei also showed their new Model: LUNA S1 which is a modular residential energy storage solution with a capacity of 7kWh in each battery, and the SmartCharger which is a residential electric vehicle charger compatible with solar energy.
