Music, fun take center stage at Big Foot Entertainment ‘Slum Kids Fest’
It was fun and excitement in the Makoko area of Lagos when Bigfoot Cares hosted the summer edition of Slum Kids Fest days back.
The day was filled with laughter, music, dancing, and games as children and mothers from the community enjoyed a rare opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated. The event was a vibrant display of joy, with children engaging in activities designed to entertain and educate, leaving them with smiles that would last long after the day was over.
The Slum Kids Fest transformed the usually bustling streets of Makoko into a playground where kids could forget their worries and simply enjoy being children. The atmosphere was electric, as music blared from speakers, and the air was filled with the sound of children’s laughter.
Games and dancing were the order of the day, with everyone joining in the festivities, from the youngest child to the most seasoned mother. It was a day of pure joy, as the community came together to celebrate life.
In addition to the fun and games, the children were treated to an array of gifts, adding to the excitement of the day. Each child left with a token of the day’s memories, a reminder of the generosity and care shown to them.
The Slum Kids Fest, known for its focus on bringing joy to underprivileged communities, was once again a resounding success, with Makoko’s residents expressing their gratitude for the unforgettable experience.
Babatunde Adu (Tmoney), founder and CEO of Bigfoot Homes UK and Bigfoot Entertainment, shared his pride in the success of the event. “Seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and the joy in the hearts of the mothers reminded me why Bigfoot Cares was created,” he said. “Our mission is to empower and uplift communities, and this event was a perfect example of how we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
The event was made possible through a partnership with the Julikol Foundation, whose collaboration with Bigfoot Cares elevated the event to new heights. The foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities aligned perfectly with the vision of Bigfoot Cares, resulting in an impactful and memorable day for all involved.
Babatunde Adu (Tmoney) expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to making the event a success, noting that this is just the beginning for Bigfoot Cares.
“Our work has only just begun. We are dedicated to continuing our mission to support and empower communities across the globe. This event is a shining example of what we can achieve, and I look forward to many more successful initiatives in the future,” he concluded.
