NDYC urges Nigerians to support those committed to national peace, security

The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has refuted claims by Daniel Bwala, a former aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, suggesting the potential exit of the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a statement signed by the group’s National Coordinator, Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC), Israel Uwejeyan, NDYC described such comments as uncalled for and aimed at sowing discord within the nation’s security apparatus.

The NDYC commended the Ministers for their commitment to ensuring the security and stability of the nation, particularly in the face of ongoing security challenges.

The group urged the ministers to remain focused on their responsibilities and not be distracted by Bwala’s baseless accusations.

The NDYC urged President Tinubu not to be swayed by individuals, who have demonstrated a lack of loyalty and cannot be trusted to serve in any capacity within the administration.

The group expressed confidence in the President’s commitment to selecting individuals of integrity and loyalty to serve in his administration.

The urged Nigerians to continue supporting the efforts of those who are genuinely committed to the peace and security of the nation.

“The Ministers have been steadfast in their commitment to ensuring the security and stability of our nation. Their tireless efforts in coordinating and strengthening the operations of our Armed Forces, particularly in the face of ongoing security challenges, have been commendable and should be lauded by all well-meaning Nigerians.”
