Sabi Writers Hosts Inaugural Annual Guest Lecture Series in Lagos

On August 30th, 2024, Sabi Writers held their first Annual Guest Lecture Series, titled “The Frontline.” This event, the first of its kind in Africa, provided the Sabi Writers workforce with a unique opportunity to learn from and engage with industry leaders across the continent.

The keynote speaker for the event was Mrs. Funke Amobi, the Deputy Head of Operations at Stanbic IBTC Bank, a renowned figure in Nigeria’s HR industry. Mrs. Amobi delivered an insightful lecture covering topics such as high-performance workplace culture, leadership, human resources, and organizational success and growth.

In one of her thought-provoking speeches, Mrs. Amobi emphasized, “Organizations are complex adaptive systems, and to sustain their success and scalability, the team members must always begin with the end in mind.” The staff and management of Sabi Writers listened intently, eager to glean valuable insights from the distinguished speaker.

The event also featured a panel discussion on the roles of intrapreneurs, a concept explored by Mr. Confidence Ago, the Business Unit Manager for BookSpider, a sister company of Sabi Writers. He defined an intrapreneur as “someone who has taken ownership of an entrepreneur’s business, with strategic thinking and agile execution to ensure the company’s goals are met.”

The occasion concluded with a touch of soft music and a celebratory group photo, capturing the excitement of the Sabi Writers team.

In a closing interview, the Chief Operating Officer, Felix Ukattah, remarked, “It has been an amazing journey in building a great culture, which is the primary factor responsible for our success as an organization in the writing industry.”

The Frontline is set to become an annual tradition, as Sabi Writers continues to lead the way in Africa’s content writing landscape.
