Elite Global AI partners Edo govt, hosts conference on Artificial Intelligence technology

Elite Global AI, in collaboration with the Edo State Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, and the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy, successfully hosted a groundbreaking conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology on August 29th, 2024. The event, held at Edo State’s foremost public service training academy, brought together AI innovators, tech enthusiasts, investors, and government stakeholders to discuss the future of AI in Nigeria.

With the theme “Artificial Intelligence for a Sustainable Future: Challenges, Opportunities, and Ethics,” the conference provided a platform for insightful discussions on AI’s transformative power, its potential applications across various sectors, and the ethical considerations essential for responsible implementation.

Vwakpor Efuetanu, CEO & Founder of Elite Global Intelligence Technologies, set the tone with a compelling keynote address, where he emphasized the company’s mission to empower young people with AI. “AI technology will change the world. Dr. Kamal Kuku, one of the 100 Most Notable Africans, Rwanda and CEO of Redkam Technologies, added to the discourse with his thoughts on the human role in AI’s evolution. “We are the determinants of what happens to AI in the future, not AI itself. We are the ones teaching the machine to do whatever we want it to do. It is what we put in AI that it gives us,” he remarked, underscoring the need for ethical AI development.

The event featured representatives from the security sector. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Victor Tereoruwa, and Superintendent of Police (SP), Samson Kaddy from the Edo State Police Intelligence Bureau, represented Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Arungua Nwauzei, and Edo State Commissioner of Police (CP), Funsho Adegboye, mni. The officers provided critical insights into the role of AI in enhancing public safety and modernizing policing in the digital age.

A significant highlight of the conference was the demonstration of Elite Global Intelligence Technology’s upcoming AI product, the Elite Coach—a career guidance and productivity tool set to launch in the last quarter of 2024.
