The spotlight shone brightly on Nigerian pastry chef Favour Ikedinma as she took home the prestigious “Cake Artistry of the Year” award at the National Pastry Conference 2024, held at The Park Expo & Conference Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

The NPC Competition, known for bringing together some of the best pastry talent in the world, saw Ikedinma triumph over a field of talented bakers in a thrilling showdown.

PastryCon is a celebrated event where participants compete in various categories, including gelato, plated desserts, chocolatiers, and intricate cake designs.

Favour Ikedinma’s cake creation, a blend of innovation and precision, earned her top marks from the judges, solidifying her position as one of the leading figures in cake artistry.

Reflecting on the journey to her victory, Ikedinma expressed, “This achievement means the world to me. It took a lot of dedication, late nights, and attention to detail.
