NerdzFactory Foundation, Access Empower 500 Nigerian Women Through Digital Entrepreneurship Programme

NerdzFactory Foundation, in collaboration with Access, has successfully concluded the Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program (WDEP) 5.0, equipping 500 women with essential digital skills to launch, grow, and monetize their businesses in today’s digital economy.

The program commenced on 15th July 2024 and represents a significant step forward in empowering women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
Since its inception, the WDEP has trained over 2,500 women, fostering a new generation of digitally-savvy entrepreneurs. This initiative is a cornerstone of Access’s broader commitment to financial inclusion and NerdzFactory Foundation’s mission to drive social innovation and human capital development.

The WDEP is designed to address the digital gender gap by providing women with the tools they need to succeed in the digital marketplace. Participants received training in areas such as digital business strategies, social media marketing, online business management, business pitching, and bookkeeping. These skills are critical for women seeking to digitise their business processes and secure long-term market relevance.

Ade Olowojoba, Director of NerdzFactory Foundation, commented, “The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program continues to be a flagship initiative in our efforts to foster social innovation and human capital development. By empowering 500 women in this edition, we are not only helping them thrive in the digital economy but also contributing to broader economic growth and community resilience.”

The Women Digital Entrepreneurship Program is an initiative of Access, implemented by NerdzFactory Foundation, underscoring both organizations’ commitment to creating inclusive growth opportunities and empowering women to become key players in the digital landscape.
