PowerUp Entrepreneurship Programme 4.0 Boosts 500 Youths with Key Business Skills

The PowerUp Entrepreneurship Program 4.0, a significant initiative by Access Corporation in partnership with NerdzFactory Foundation, has successfully empowered 500 young Nigerians with essential entrepreneurial skills.

The programme aimed to bridge the gap between business ideas and practical execution, equipping participants with the knowledge needed to launch and sustain their own businesses.
Over the course of two weeks, from July 29 to August 10, 2024, the PowerUp Program provided a holistic educational experience through its key components: the PowerUp Webinar, PowerUp BootCamp, and PowerUp Demo-Day.

Each component was meticulously designed to enhance participants’ business acumen and practical skills.
The programme covered critical areas including Digital Marketing, Financial Management, pitch deck creation, business plan development, fundraising strategies, and branding.

The comprehensive approach ensured that participants were well-prepared to face the challenges of entrepreneurship.
A notable highlight of the program was the free workshop, “Turn Your Passion into Profit: Mastering Mini Importation,” conducted by speaker Oladeji Esho on August 24, 2024.

The workshop offered valuable insights into leveraging mini-importation as a lucrative business opportunity, inspiring attendees to take actionable steps towards entrepreneurship.
The PowerUp Entrepreneurship Program utilized a hybrid model of training, combining both in-person and virtual sessions to maximize accessibility.

The programme was open to a wide range of participants, including young graduates, final-year students, unemployed youth, NYSC Corps members, and aspiring entrepreneurs. This inclusivity helped ensure a diverse and engaged cohort.

Ade’ Olowojoba, Director at NerdzFactory Foundation, highlighted the program’s impact on the youth.

“As our economic landscape evolves, it is crucial to empower young people with the skills and knowledge to adapt and thrive. The PowerUp Program offers a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to discover and capitalize on business opportunities, equipping them with the tools necessary for success.”

The programme aimed to foster increased youth participation in entrepreneurship, support the identification of low-capital business opportunities, improve access to finance, and develop essential business skills. Additionally, it encouraged collaboration and networking, contributing to job creation and economic growth.

Through its commitment to providing valuable resources and mentorship, the PowerUp Entrepreneurship Program 4.0 has set the stage for a new generation of entrepreneurs who are poised to drive innovation and contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.
