Jennifer Adighije as a Breath of Fresh Air in the Power Sector

Among the womenfolk in Nigeria, one name stands out as a shining example of visionary leadership and unyielding determination. That name is Jennifer Adighije.

This highly intelligent woman, who is the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), has shattered the glass ceilings as she continues to shine like a well-cut diamond.

Before her appointment to the position last month by President Bola Tinubu, she had showcased her brilliance and intelligence in her previous jobs. This includes her position as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Entrepreneurship Development in Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. So, her appointment was met with applause and commendations by those who know her antecedents. 

Society Watch gathered that when she promised to hit the ground running, her fans knew she was not joking or being boastful. Adighije is a woman who loathes laziness. She is known for her efficiency, proficiency and competence.  Little wonder she has been described as a breath of fresh air in the nation’s power sector.

She has promised to set the company’s strategic direction, develop its strategies, provide strategic counsel to various organisational and functional leaders, and assist the company in meeting its set goals. She has also vowed not to leave no stone unturned to ensure that her co-workers and the team’s morale are always high. She pledged that under her leadership, she would develop a company-wide ethos of striving for and achieving excellence in all they do.
