Lucy Q, Rising Star from the East Set to Drop New Single

Lucy Q, born Eneh Queenlucy Chidimma, is making waves as one of Nigeria’s top emerging female rappers. Hailing from Obeleagu Umana in Ezagu Local Government Area, Enugu State, Lucy Q is rapidly gaining recognition for her unique blend of traditional Eastern sounds and modern Afrobeat.

The rapper’s journey began with her early education at Immaculate Heart Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School in Enugu, before moving on to Holy Rosary College Uwani. Lucy Q later earned a degree in History and International Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). Her rise in the music industry started in 2016/2017.

Reflecting on her early days, Lucy Q said, “Being a female rapper in this industry is tough, but I’ve learned to keep pushing. You have to prove yourself every day. I want young girls to know that they can achieve anything with determination and hard work.”

Despite the challenges she has faced, Lucy Q has gained the respect of her peers, collaborating with prominent artists such as Illbliss, Zoro SwagBag, Pepenazi, Terry Apala, Jeriq the Hustler, and Quincy042.

Her highly anticipated new single, “Far Away,” featuring Zoro SwagBag, is set to drop soon. Produced by Cla6only, the track blends traditional Eastern Ogene rhythms with modern Afrobeat and pop elements, a sound Lucy Q is known for. “I’m so excited for people to hear ‘Far Away.’ It’s a fusion of everything I love about music—our roots and today’s vibe,” she shared.

With her distinctive sound and drive, Lucy Q is quickly becoming a major figure in Nigerian rap. “I’m just getting started,” she says. “The East has so much talent to offer, and I’m proud to be part of that movement.”
