At BFF Conference, Lagos Embraces Celebration of Enduring friendships

The recent BFF conference 2024 held in Lagos captivated nearly 2,000 attendees with its celebration of enduring friendships and meaningful connections.
This year’s conference held on August 3 significantly surpassed its inaugural edition, reflecting its growing impact and the increasing value placed on personal relationships.
Founded by Adetoun Jegede, the conference has emerged as a pioneering event dedicated to transforming how to view and nurture friendships.
Jegede’s vision—to foster authentic connections and prioritize friendships as crucial elements of personal and emotional growth—was evident throughout the event.
“We are committed to fostering authentic connections and building a supportive community where friendship is recognized as essential to our emotional and personal growth,” Jegede stated.
The Managing Director of Quest Advisory Services Limited, Mr Bayo Rotimi delivered a stirring keynote address titled: “Celebrating the Power of Friendship in Bringing Meaning to Life,” which resonated deeply with attendees and prompted reflection on the significance of their own friendships.
The conference featured two major panel discussions that explored different facets of enduring friendships.
The first panel with the theme: “Celebrating Bonds Across Borders: Embracing the Evolution of Our Friendships,” showcased long-standing male friendships, with participants.
Olaleye Olushola, Bajulaye Victor, Inioluwa David, Oge C, and Ogwe shared their experiences during the panel discussion which was their experiences.
Moderated by Damilola Praiseworth, the discussion highlighted the strength and resilience of these relationships over time.
The second panel: “Friendships Through the Years: Adapting Through Life’s Changes and Stages,” featured the “Reliable Sisters,” a group of 16 women who have maintained their friendship for over four decades.
Represented by Mrs. Aderonke AyoIbine, Mrs. Mosope Omotosho, and Mrs. Adetokunbo Omoyele, the panel emphasized the enduring nature of female friendships through various life stages.
The participants also engaged in speed friendship sessions, friendship challenges, and enjoying spoken word performances, games, and musical acts. These activities fostered new connections and strengthened existing ones, highlighting the event’s community-driven spirit.
The success of the BFF Conference was supported by several sponsors, including Maltina, which elevated the event with its renowned Maltina dance hall session. Krispy Kreme delighted guests with their donuts, while Reelfruits, BreatherNG, and BeaconHealth offered free medical check-ups.

Participants expressed joy for the conference.
