In a bold move to alleviate poverty and promote economic development, the Give the Nations (GTN) initiative is launching a massive 3-day event, which started with a press conference on September 18th. This ambitious project aims to provide scholarships, food items, and empowerment programmes to over 25,000 individuals in need.

At the forefront of this initiative is the Director of GTN, Ms Precious Jefferson, who revealed that GTN has already empowered over 1,000 youths with grants and skill acquisition programs, distributed food relief items to over 5,000 people, and plans to construct 1,000 boreholes by the end of the year.

“The emergence of the Give the Nations project cannot be overemphasised,” Jefferson emphasised.
“We understand the struggles of the common man, and we are stepping in to bring relief to those caught in the crossfire. Our goal is to raise exemplary leaders for society, equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive positive change”, she noted.

The GTN Missions Week, happening simultaneously across the globe, has already made a significant impact in countries like Pakistan and Kenya, feeding thousands of people.
In Lagos, the will be held on the 20th of September alongside an event called the Global Day of Salvation which GTN has been given a slot to give out gifts, which will be held at Onikan Stadium and National Stadium, Surulere.

GTN’s vision extends beyond immediate relief, focusing on long-term economic development through partnerships with private and public sectors.
“We are open to partnering with the government to build back our economy and bring nations back to their communities,” Jefferson noted.

The Day of Salvation, a global event on September 20th, will also feature GTN’s food relief distribution, guiding individuals toward a brighter future. This day of glory promises to be a celebration of souls destined for the Kingdom of God and the promise of eternal life.

As GTN continues to transform lives, its message resonates: hope and empowerment are within reach. The organization’s leaders are trained in the Word of God, philanthropy, business management, product/sales marketing, and branding, ensuring they’re well-prepared for the tasks ahead.

“We are not just giving fish, we’re teaching people how to fish,” Jefferson said. “Our target is to complete 1,000 borehole constructions by the end of this year, providing clean and safe water for communities. We’ve already started, with a recent completion in Akwa Ibom State”, she added.

GTN’s commitment to community development is unwavering. With plans to feed over 25,000 people in Lagos through the Day of Salvation program, the organisation is poised to make a lasting impact.

For brands or individuals looking to support GTN’s mission, Jefferson encourages collaboration. “There’s a structure for partnerships, but it’s not limited to just brands and companies. We’re open to everyone, and our main drive is to reach out to individuals in need.”
She therefore invites individuals and organisations to join the movement and support Give the Nations in their quest to uplift communities and create a brighter tomorrow.

The Day of Salvation is actually a separate event from the GTN Missions Week. According to Mr. Micheal Falokun, a member of the planning committee for the Day of Salvation, this day is specifically dedicated to the salvation of souls and is a global event, taking place in various countries across Asia, Africa, and beyond .
In essence, the Day of Salvation is a momentous occasion for people to turn to Christ and experience salvation.
On the other hand, the GTN Missions Week is a five-day event focused on community interventions across different cities. While both events share a common goal of spreading the message of salvation, they are distinct initiatives.
