MBI Attends IBC 2024 Convention in Amsterdam

The MBI team has officially concluded the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2024, at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in Amsterdam. Known as one of the most significant global media and technology events, IBC gathers media, entertainment, and tech professionals for an engaging experience.

For MBI, this participation is more than just attending another industry event. It represents a critical move in their ongoing efforts to embrace cutting-edge technologies, specifically in the area of artificial intelligence (AI). AI has been making waves across industries, and MBI sees the opportunity to leverage it to improve how TV content and media are created and distributed.

As a leader in Africa’s media scene, MBI, alongside its subsidiary Aforevo—Africa’s top YouTube partner— is committed to advancing its technological skills. Attending IBC allows MBI to gain valuable knowledge and new skills that will be shared across the company. This knowledge transfer will enable the larger team to implement AI solutions that improve the way content is produced, from scriptwriting to production and post-production.

One of the attendees, Seyi Adesanya who heads the TV Production arm of Aforevo, has been instrumental in driving the company’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into its filmmaking process. According to Seyi, “By incorporating state-of-the-art media and technology innovations, we can improve our productions to a higher level.”

The sub-team head of Aforevo TV production, Olakunle Kazeem also added that “the integration of AI into MBI’s processes will cut down various stages of production, from automating repetitive tasks to enhancing creativity with AI-powered tools. This shift will not only make MBI’s operations more efficient but also open up opportunities to create even higher-quality content.

Nwolisa Emenari, another influential leader at MBI, emphasized the importance of attending global tech conferences like IBC. He spoke about how AI can help with editing, special effects, and even optimizing content for mobile devices. MBI is committed to adopting these technologies to remain competitive.

As MBI continues to attend global events like IBC, the goal is clear: to redefine African media by incorporating the best available technology.
