The Ark Of Light Food And Emergency Bank Brings Relief To Over 1500 Families

The fight against poverty and hunger is a fight for all, and like Prophet Isaiah Macwealth, a renowned philanthropist, who has been relentless in the fight against poverty and hunger through several initiatives including the Onesound charity, we all can learn the importance of showing compassion and care to those who are in dire need.

On the 19th of September 2024, the Ark of Light Food and Emergency bank, which has been a haven of hope for less privileged families in Lagos and its environs since its inception in 2023, once again opened its doors to over 1,500 families seeking to benefit from its Open pantry day.

In the wake of inflation and food scarcity in Nigeria, many families have been plunged into severe hunger and starvation. The September 2024 Open Pantry Day could not have come at a better time as over 1,500 families benefited from the food bank’s generousity.

The food bank provided essential items such as rice, beans, pasta, noodles, vegetable oil, palm oil, yam, semovita, clothes, shoes, toys for children, and financial assistance. Beneficiaries also enjoyed cooked food and soft drinks on-site, accompanied by uplifting music. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as each family made their way to the Pantry stocked with food items and other necessities.

Making impact where it truly matters is the true essence of life, and The Ark of Light Food and Emergency Bank continues to impart lives with each open pantry.
