Senator Oluremi Tinubu: Inestimable Mother of Nigeria at 64

Solomon Adeola

It is indeed remarkable and fascinating to join others across the globe to celebrate the milestone of the mother of the nation and exemplary figure in motherhood,  Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the adorable wife of our leader and President of Nigeria,  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The enviable and indelible antecedents of Senator Oluremi Tinubu from her days in the College and University reflected resilience,   capacity,  courage and rare passion to serve humanity in the most selfless manner.

Ma, I recall with nostalgia how you conceptualised a very dynamic and creative concept of mentorship on leadership for the young ones in Lagos through a spelling bee as the first lady of Lagos; the programme that had been jealously preserved and sustained by successive administrations in the State.

Interestingly, you have brought these enigmatic posture and diverse experience in leadership to the corridor of power at the highest level of authority in the land as the matriarch of the Nigeria’s first family.

Your Excellency,  Ma, you are without doubt a leading light and amiable compass for African women, especially those in the position of authority and power; your humility,  resilience, kindness and compassion remain intrinsically legendary.

As you celebrate another additional one year to your existence, Your Excellency, I wish you more glorious years ahead in sound health and continuous service to humanity.

On behalf of my family,  I say Happy Birthday to a mother of the nation at 64.

Senator (Aremo) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola
