News Central, NESG Propose Partnership Deal
The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) and News Central Television are looking at forming a powerful alliance to set the stage for a transformative journey of economic prosperity.
The partnership deal currently in the works was announced during a recent meeting, and this is seen as a testament to both organisations’ shared commitment to driving positive change in Nigeria.
In attendance were the executive management team of News Central and the leadership of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group.
While setting the tone for the meeting, the Managing Director of News Central Television, Kayode Akintemi articulated the significance of NESG’s contributions to advancing economic discourse and policies, stressing that collaborations like this can only engineer a progressive future for the Nigerian economy.
A Board member and Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for the National Economic Summit 30 (NES30), Mr Udeme Ufot, congratulated the News Central team for the feats recorded within the shortest time frame. He spoke highly of the creativity, pragmatism, freshness and factual content being consistently dished out to the public.
While eulogizing the potential partnership deal, Ufot emphasized NESG’s commitment to establishing a long-lasting relationship with News Central in ensuring economic issues and empirical solutions remain at the forefront of national discourse.
The CEO of NESG, Dr. Tayo Aduloju, provided a compelling historical overview of the organization’s journey, recounting the challenges faced by Nigeria’s economy in the past, including periods of recession and economic instability. He also affirmed the NESG’s unwavering commitment to evidence-based policy and advocacy which he believes would be instrumental in navigating Nigeria’s turbulent waters.

Rising from the meeting, both organizations expressed their understanding of the crucial role the media plays in shaping public opinion and influencing policy decisions, believing that by working together, they can amplify their impact and accelerate Nigeria’s economic progress.
Director of the Commercial and Communications department at News Central, Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, expressed the station’s anticipation for a continued partnership with NESG for the upcoming summit tagged NES #30, with the hope that the collaboration will foster a strong partnership along economic and broadcast lines.
The theme of this year’s NESG summit is “Collaborative Action for Growth, Competitiveness, and Stability,” and it promises to be a landmark event.
After the meeting, the NESG leadership team took a tour of News Central headquarters visiting the newsroom, the production studio and various departments.
