The third edition of Jameson Distillery on Tour (JDOT) is revving up with a variety of bespoke, interactive experiences to celebrate Jameson’s 244-year-old Irish heritage and craft.

A five-day event curated daily by Jameson partners, it provides guests with an intimate glimpse at how Jameson is distilled and how to enjoy the brand with friends.

Running from September 27th to October 1st, 2024, The Jameson Distillery on Tour (JDOT) will take place at the iconic National Theatre, Orile Iganmu Lagos. The Lagos audience will relish live music, gourmet food, fashion, skating and the ultimate Jameson party, allowing guests to create a world of memories with both old and new friends.

Jameson, a brand built on authenticity, friendship, and inclusivity, continues to promote the art of bringing people together through common interests. This edition promises an unforgettable experience, with exclusive whiskey tastings and live demonstrations by the brand ambassadors, who will walk guests through the rich history of the famed triple-distilled Irish whiskey, from the beautifully crafted barrels to the distinct flavours that distinguish Jameson.

This edition will allow whiskey enthusiasts as well as beginners to taste the whiskey, and also grasp a better understanding of the history and craftsmanship embedded in the brand.

“Creating unique connections has always been important to Jameson Whiskey. This year’s Jameson Distillery on Tour aims to reinforce our bond with our community by giving guests multiple opportunities to expand their social network and immerse themselves in the world of Jameson”, says Evane Chenuet, Marketing Director, Pernod Ricard Nigeria.

To kick off the tour, Jameson collaborated with Afrovibes, a live music platform known for its energetic live music. Day 2 delves into Nigeria’s active skating culture; in collaboration with DenCity, guests may witness remarkable skate feats, take part in demonstrations, and feel the thrill of magical experience.

On Day three, the Vogue Boys will take the stage, bringing an experiential water park festival. Day 4 offers something special for foodies, with an emphasis on gourmet junk food and Jameson whiskey pairings in collaboration with Kewa’s Kitchen and Kevwe & Cam. The grand finale features a powerful collaboration with The Mainland Block Party, honouring Naija’s heartbeat—Afrobeats!

As a special treat for whiskey fans, Ger Buckley, a true craftsman and fifth-generation Midleton Cooper, will conduct an unparalleled demonstration of his craft using the same methods and tools passed down from his grandfather.

Ger is responsible for always keeping the Distillery’s one million oak casks in top condition. This unique opportunity allows guests to observe the artistry of barrel production and have an inside look at the craftsmanship that goes into each barrel that houses Jameson.

“This edition goes beyond celebrating our whiskey; it’s a tribute to Nigeria’s vibrant and dynamic culture. We’ve crafted a unique experience that not only highlights Jameson’s craftsmanship but also honours the community we proudly call home. We are thrilled to unveil what we have in store for our guests!” says Bodam Taiwo, Head of Portfolio, Pernod Ricard Nigeria.
