Joseph Afolabi Honoured as Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace, Positive Living

Joseph Afolabi, CEO of Finlogic Nigeria Limited, has been named a United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Ambassador (AMBP-UN) in recognition of his contributions to promoting peace and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The award, which highlights his commitment to global peace and positive living, is a testament to his continued efforts to align his professional endeavors with humanitarian causes.

The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre, in collaboration with UNESCO’s Culture of Peace projects, recognised Afolabi for his leadership in fostering positive change within the financial and technology sectors.

His journey from intern to CEO has inspired many, but it is his commitment to social impact that earned him this prestigious honour.

“This recognition is a humbling experience,” he expressed. “It reinforces the idea that business should not just be about profit, but also about making the world a better place.”

Afolabi’s career path has been marked by resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to societal growth. He founded Finlogic Nigeria Limited, a financial exchange company specialising in Naira-to-Yuan transactions, in 2018, after working in cybersecurity and gaining industry insights.

Under his leadership, Finlogic has grown into a successful enterprise, but his focus has always extended beyond just business success.

He has consistently advocated for peaceful coexistence, inclusion, and empowerment through education.

His efforts align closely with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting economic growth, responsible consumption, and peace, justice, and strong institutions. “Sustainable development is not just a global goal but a responsibility for all of us. Through my work, I strive to create opportunities that benefit both individuals and communities,” Afolabi stated.

The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre aims to spotlight individuals like Afolabi, who are actively contributing to a peaceful and just society.
