NGO, Impact 23 Takes Free Medical Outreach To FCT Community

A non-government organisation, Impact 23 as a way of advancing social welfare has rolled out free medical outreach in Peti community in Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT where it reiterated its commitment to continue its drives towards impacting the society.

The organisation is dedicated to mentor young people, giving them direction on life journey through credible and robust mentorship as well as talent discovery.

Speaking during the outreach, the Executive Director Impact 23, Dr. Paul Olubo said the medical exercise was in honour of their first year anniversary as an NGO and also in honor of the 70 years birthday celebration of Bishop David Oyedepo whom the he described as a man of many impacts.

According to him, health and youth education are very critical to the agenda of the organisation. The numerous potentials of the youths of this country will not be achieved unless their strength and talent are discovered and the needed support offered to them to succeed in their endeavours.

While noting that the government cannot attend to the medical needs of over 200 million Nigerians alone, Olubo called on privileged members of the society to reach out to disadvantaged communities to make the society more habitable.

Also speaking, the FCT coordinator of Impact 23, Segun Adewale said the decision to carry out the free health campaign in Peti is borne of the need to reach out to those in need of such services, especially the most vulnerable in the society.

Impact 23 mobilized medical workers and equipment to the FCT community and the beneficiaries could not hide their joy for tapping from the well of kindness the organisation brought.

Leader of the community, Haruna Seriki expressed gratitude to the NGO for outreach.

The community also urged government to erect a medical facility in the area that will attend to their health needs.
