Every company has a unique story and a clear goal. In early 2021, the idea of making Gen Zs and millennials the next generation of landlords was conceived, which is why UVEST remains a catalyst today. With four years in the real estate industry, we have built solid systems and structures that set us apart.
Like every other real estate company, we consistently try to take a dynamic approach to covering Nigeria’s housing deficit gap. According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the housing deficit crisis has recently worsened, with statistics showing a deficit of at least 17.0 million.
The housing deficit steadily rose, from 7.0 million in 1991 to 14 million in 2010. A report from the World Bank (2018) stated that Nigeria requires about 700,000 housing units annually over 20 years to accommodate the rising population.
Now that you know our primary goal and the problem we are trying to solve, the question is: how are we achieving this and tackling the problem simultaneously?
“Bells are not for seasons or moods; they are about guts,” the CEO of UVEST, Dr. Philip Babalola, said at the just-concluded2024 hypergrowth Conference for Lagos realtors.
The UVEST bells have become a significant term amongst the UVEST tribesmen. It is a tradition that represents successful sales transactions and their influence on the motivation of other tribesmen.
This concept originated from innovative strategies to enhance engagement and motivation among the UVEST tribe with single or multiple bell emojis. We have been tracking and celebrating these outstanding feats for a long time. The tribe, which boasts over 1000 realtors, fosters a consistent culture of celebrating sales growth within the UVEST community.
A major reward for dropping bells is seen in the incentives provided for the tribesmen, as well as the motivation it gives other community members. According to the Uvest sales team, over 200 bells were recorded in the first half of 2024, reflecting the tribesmen’s willingness to make sales. With thousands of bells marking successful sales, their influence is even more rooted in shaping the dynamics of the real estate industry.
