Nigerian Bottling Company Empowers Over 1,700 Youths in Kano, Anambra States Through #YouthEmpowered Training


 
Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has recently concluded its #YouthEmpowered training sessions in Kano and Anambra States, reaching over 1,700 young Nigerians and equipping them with essential skills for success in both the corporate world and as entrepreneurs.
 

The programme offers YouthEmpowered is a cornerstone of NBC’s commitment to youth development and job creation in Nigeria. skills needed for professional advancement and economic empowerment.

Participants in Kano and Anambra engaged in hands-on training sessions covering key areas such as optimizing LinkedIn profiles for career visibility, mastering project management, leveraging AI-driven business innovations, and navigating strategic negotiations for business.
 
Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Lead at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Olukemi Ogunsakin, highlighted the program’s impact:

“Recognizing the vital role young Nigerians play in shaping our country’s future, we are proud to have successfully completed training sessions in Kano and Anambra States.

“Through #YouthEmpowered, we’ve reached over 50,000 youths across 12 cities. This latest edition in Kano and Anambra empowered over 1,700, more young Nigerians with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.”
 
A standout feature of the program was the Director’s Business Grant, a competitive opportunity where participants pitched their business ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to secure funding to launch or scale their businesses.

“This initiative underscores NBC’s dedication not only to training but also to providing tangible support for young entrepreneurs.”
 
Aisha-Abubakar Abbas from Kano State, a winner of the Director’s Business Grant commented: “This training has given me the confidence to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams.”
