Techinnovate Group Drives African Participation at Major Technology Event in Dubai

African governments and startups are increasingly looking to the Middle East for growth opportunities in the technology sector, and Techinnovate Group is playing a pivotal role as the bridge between the two regions.

Samuel Ubido, Chairman of Techinnovate Group, highlighted the importance of fostering strategic connections between Africa and the Middle East, using global platforms to unlock opportunities for African businesses. This year, Techinnovate supported the participation of key government bodies, including Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Ghana Digital Centre, at one of the largest technology events in Dubai.

Ubido emphasised the significance of African governments working with trusted partners to make the most of their presence at such high-profile events. “It’s critical for governments to engage strategic partners who can provide end-to-end support, from scheduling key meetings and producing field reports, to capturing moments through photography and videography,” he noted.

In addition to their role at the tech event, Techinnovate Group hosted a high-level networking event titled Africa-Middle East Tech Connect: Bridging Innovation and Investment. The exclusive event brought together tech leaders, innovators, venture capitalists, and strategic partners from Africa and the Middle East, with the goal of fostering collaboration and unlocking cross-regional opportunities. The focus of the event was on the rapidly evolving tech ecosystems in both regions and how partnerships could drive further growth.

Notable attendees included Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, CEO of Ghana Digital Centre, and Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, Chair of Nigeria’s Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security. These high-profile leaders underscored the importance of strategic partnerships and collaboration between Africa and the Middle East in shaping the future of technology and innovation.

Through its initiatives, Techinnovate Group continues to establish itself as a key facilitator, ensuring African governments and startups have the support they need to succeed on the global stage.
