Starlink Reverses Internet Price Hike in Nigeria

Starlink, a global internet company owned by billionaire businessman, Elon Musk, has reversed it’s initial price hike in its internet services provision in Nigeria.
The company also promised to refund those it had charged the newly increased rate.
The decision to reverse the price hike, is squel to wide spread criticism from Nigerian customers that saw the increase as additional burden to their existing burden, caused by the rising inflation in the country.
In a statement released by the company, it said: “Last month, we increased the monthly service price for Starlink in Nigeria to account for inflation, helping us maintain operations and continue delivering reliable service. Today, we are temporarily suspending this price increase as we navigate regulatory challenges.
“If you’ve already been charged at the higher rate, a one-time credit will be applied to your account to cover the difference. You also have the flexibility to cancel your service at any time.”
Nigerians have hailed the price reversal, saying it will help them access the high speed internet services provided by Starlink at a moderate cost.
