Group Renovates Christ City Mission School, Enhances Learning Environment for Indigent Children in FCT

In a major milestone aimed at giving back to society through education, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Excella B Group, Fejiro Oliver Samson, has renovated, remodeled, and furnished Christ City Mission School, a nursery and primary school located in Tipper Garage, Lugbe, Abuja, for the needy and indigent children.
Samson is also a co-founder of the Network Against Corruption and Trafficking (NACAT).
The project, which was commissioned on October 27, 2024, to mark his birthday, is aimed at uplifting the educational standards for underprivileged and special-needs children within the community.
The renovation project, designed to support education in under-served areas included the installation of modern classroom furniture, provision of educational materials, playground facilities and other essential amenities.
The remodeled school now offers an enhanced environment conducive to learning, providing children with the infrastructure needed to overcome socioeconomic challenges.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Fejiro highlighted the transformative power of education, stating that “the only way for a child to succeed is through education and it starts with a conducive, learning environment.”
He added that his mission was to provide children in disadvantaged areas with the same quality of educational infrastructure as his own children studying in other climes.

Mr. Fejiro called on well-meaning Nigerians to consider taking up similar projects, urging them to look within the slums, pick up a dilapidated school that has been abandoned and transform it into a healthy learning environment.
The school’s founder, Mrs Caro Shalom, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Fejiro, emphasising that his donations were an investment not just in the school but in the future of the children. “Every money he has generously donated is an investment in the lives we are serving here,” she stated.
According to Mrs Shalom, the school was meant for out-of-school children from very poor homes, especially children recovered from human traffickers and the needy.
She also hinted that the school remained an unconventional school that provides free education. “Children, who attend the school, attend it free of charge”, he said.
She also said “pupils in the school cut across all religions and tribes, whether they are Christian or Muslims.
“She accepts children from all religions and tribes in a bid to help humanity stating that it is not the fault of the indigent kids that they were born in poor homes”.
According to her, the population of the pupils in the school had grown to about 200 at the moment.
The event drew attendees from various sectors, including NACAT staff, pupils, and staff of the school, as well as friends, colleagues, and dignitaries.
The extensive renovation included tiling the school, roofing repairs, furnishing a computer room, installing a water tank, outdoor landscaping, setting up a playground with play equipment, and donating classroom desks, chairs, books and other teaching resources.
Highlights of the events also include the donation of N500,000 for the computer lab as well as for the provision of books and other school items by Mr. Iteveh Nurudeen, an environmental rights and social activist, a friend of Fejiro Oliver Samson.
