Ashmusy Foundation Supports Female Entrepreneurs with Over 7m in Grants

The Ashmusy Foundation hosted its first Boss Up Empowerment Event at the Vintano Hotel in Lagos, empowering Nigerian women to pursue their business goals.

The foundation awarded ₦500,000 each to ten women, along with industry-specific equipment—ranging from sewing machines to filming kits—tailored to their fields in fashion, beauty, and content creation.

Founder Dr. Amarachi Amusi, widely known as Ashmusy, led the event alongside speakers like Uche Ogbodo and Anita Joseph, who encouraged attendees to embrace resilience and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth. Recipients such as Adakwu Oluchukwu Cromwell of The Virgin Flaurel and Sylla Nbalu of Puritys Kitchen were equipped to launch or expand their businesses.

In attendance were some of the most popular personalities in Nigeria’s online space including entrepreneur and coach Joy Eghebi (Jacbell) Tosin Silverdam, Waris Olayinka Akinwande (Ola of Lagos) Jennifer Onyekwelu (Jennifrank) and several others

The event focused on mentorship, networking, and financial support. “By investing in these women, we’re investing in a brighter future for Nigeria,” Dr. Amusi affirmed, underscoring the foundation’s mission to foster lasting change through empowered female entrepreneurs.
