Double XL’s Shares Self-discovery Journey Through EP, On My Way

Nwakor Meshach, with stage name Double XL, has shared his journey to self-discovery through his EP, On My Way.

Born on 1st Nov 1998 in Delta State, the Anambra State indigene says his EP “On My Way,” draws inspiration from his journey over the years.

“It encapsulates the time I have spent discovering myself and my purpose in music,” he reflected, “The overarching theme of the project conveys a powerful message to the world: I am here, and I am ready to claim my rightful place in the music industry.”

One standout track on the EP is “Diamonds and Pearls,” featuring the talented Biggest Savage. This song is a unique blend of sounds and Afro-pop elements that reflect my life experiences and highlight how special and rare I am as an individual.

“Shayo” is another significant piece that I crafted as a source of consolation for anyone who has experienced heartbreak or had their trust betrayed by someone they cared for deeply.

“God’s Willing” is a true masterpiece that speaks volumes about my spirituality and the profound belief I have in God. It reflects my relationship with Him and acknowledges how far He has brought me, providing clarity and vision along the way.

“Best Buddies,” featuring Vehnorm, is a heartfelt song dedicated to the ladies. I wrote it during a time of loneliness, inspired by a girl I had strong feelings for. The song serves as my attempt to express my affection and seek her attention.

“Loving,” also featuring Vehnorm, is another Afro-pop track created out of love. It resonates with anyone in Nigeria or Africa who seeks assurance from a crush about their feelings. The song conveys a promise to the girl that if she reciprocates my love, she will be cherished, cared for, and supported.

Finally, “Gospel Gangsta” is a defining piece of my identity. The title alone encapsulates my personality, spirituality, and life path. It embodies the message of a gospel preacher reaching out to the streets in a language they can understand and relate to.

Through this body of work, he hopes to share his experiences and connect with listeners on a deeper level.
