Technology firm, Durubata Limited has launched a revolutionary app that is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES), including tech startups in Africa, to scale their businesses beyond boundaries.

The app, known as Appmint, is more than a platform, as it acts as a catalyst for transformation, and equips businesses to scale, empower youth for the future, and create a tech ecosystem that drives Africa’s growth and innovation on the global stage.

Giving his keynote at the launch of the app in Lagos recently, CEO, Durubata Limited, Mr. Jacob Ajiboye, said: “At its core, Appmint is about creating accessible, affordable tech infrastructure for Nigeria and Africa as a whole. We’ve seen how developed countries benefit from advanced tech systems, sophisticated SaaS tools, streamlined processes, and AI-powered platforms that drive business growth. However, for African startups, these tools are often inaccessible due to high costs or are too complex and disjointed for local needs.”

He explained that the firm’s mission would change the African business narrative through the launch of Appmint that will help reduce operational cost and provide access to affordable tech tools that will drive business growth.

“Drawing from the success of tech infrastructures in developed nations, we aim to bring the same level of efficiency, scalability, and innovation to Nigerian and African startups, with a focus on the unique challenges of our region. Appmint offers a no-code, AI-powered platform designed to empower startups, entrepreneurs, and SMEs in Africa. More than just offering tools, we provide a complete ecosystem that helps businesses build websites, automate operations, manage customer relationships, and access data-driven insights—all at a fraction of the cost and complexity,” Ajiboye further said.

Highlighting the comprehensive features of the app during her presentation, the Head, Marketing at Durubata, Seun Tayo-Balogun, said many global Software as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms were built for developed economies, leaving African startups struggling to use the tools effectively.

She said Appmint was developed from the need to bridge the existing gap and deliver a comprehensive, integrated toolkit, designed to help African businesses innovate, scale and compete globally without the prohibitive costs or fragmented workflows of traditional SaaS solutions, adding that all the tools that SMEs and startups in African need to grow their businesses, are embedded in a single platform called Appmint.

She listed some of the features of the app to include: Drag-and-Drop Website and App Builder, Simplify Content Creation and Management, E-commerce Tolls, Centralised Social Media Management, CRM Marketing Tools, Visuals and Creative Studio, Booking and Queue Management, Instant Support, Data Visualisation Tools, among others.

The Centralised Social Media Management features, according to her, helps users to manage multiple social media accounts, while the E-commerce tools help users to set up responsive online store and manage all inventories, streamline the checkout process, and boost product and services visibility, through the AI-powered product recommendations.
