The Chief Of Defense Staff General Christopher Musa To Be Honoured At The 4th Edition Of The Africa Value Awards
The Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR is set to be honored at the 4th edition of the Africa Value Awards which is scheduled to hold on the 12th November 2024 at the prestigious Abuja Continental Hotel.
The Chief of Defense Staff has displayed profound professionalism in handling the affairs of security in Nigeria. His commitment to strengthen the capacity of the Armed Forces in tackling insecurity in the Nation is highly commendable as the scourge of insecurity has seen a rapid decline since he assumed office.
At a press briefing, Mr. Kingsley J Dakorubo, the Executive Director of VARDIAFRICA, organizers of African Entrepreneurs and Investors Roundtable and Africa Value Awards, stated that the event was designed to recognize outstanding Individuals and organizations that have made meaningful contributions towards advancing human capital as well as Social development. He reiterated the importance of Security of Lives and property as a prerequisite for Economic and Human capacity advancement as development cannot occur in an environment plagued by insecurity and chaos.
Addressing newsmen, Mr Kingsley emphasized the need to commend the efforts of the Armed forces in restoring calm and normalcy to places hitherto ravaged by insurgency and insecurity. According to him, he stated that the Armed Forces are rarely celebrated as much as they deserve, these are men and women who sacrifice their Lives and comfort for the overall safety of the entire Nation.
Accordingly, the Chief of Defense Staff was nominated to be honored with an Award of Leadership Excellence in Security Advancement in recognition of his contributions and pragmatic initiatives in advancing Economic viability and social development through Security and Safety of Lives and properties.
Mr. Kingsley on behalf of the VARDIAFRICA team also used the opportunity to congratulate other Honorees. urging them not to rest on their oars as they continue to promote the African Values in their various endeavours.
