Africa Celebrates 2024: ATBIF to Drive Investment, Economic Unity in Addis Ababa
As Africa gears up for one of its largest business and investment events, the Africa Talks Business and Investment Forum (ATBIF) is poised to bring leading voices in business, policy, and international investment together in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Set to run from November 6 to 8, 2024, this eagerly awaited forum will unfold at the headquarters of both the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Union, aligning with the Africa Celebrates 2024 initiative.
Themed Re-imagining the African Dream of Integration with AfCFTA as an Enabler, ATBIF will center around harnessing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to bring African nations closer together through economic integration and sustainable growth.
Leaders from the public and private sectors will collaborate on cross-border initiatives designed to build resilience and unity among African economies, ensuring that each country benefits from shared opportunities and collective prosperity.
ATBIF offers a valuable platform where government officials, industry executives, and global investors will converge to exchange ideas and develop actionable strategies aimed at advancing Africa’s critical infrastructure and economic framework.
The forum will focus on driving investments in pivotal areas like agriculture, transportation (covering roads, railways, and airports), energy (especially renewable resources), and technological innovation.
By promoting projects that enhance Africa’s infrastructure, ATBIF seeks to empower economies to be self-sustaining while also increasing Africa’s influence on the global stage.
In addition to attracting high-profile business leaders and top investors, ATBIF will host ministers of trade and industry from five African nations.
Their participation highlights the event’s essential role as a driver of sustainable growth, supporting the continent’s development and encouraging cooperative policies that expand intra-African trade.
ATBIF’s unique blend of international and regional perspectives aims to build pathways for economic collaboration across borders, all while keeping Africa’s development at the forefront.
Africa Celebrates 2024 is organized by Legendary Gold Limited, with Mayalz Events as the Ethiopian partner. Both the African Union and UNECA serve as host partners, while an impressive roster of supporters includes Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassies of Nigeria, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and the United States to the African Union, and key regional business associations like the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ethiopian Airlines has partnered as the official carrier, offering special discounts to attendees flying into Addis Ababa from across the globe.
With its strategic agenda and focus on AfCFTA as an enabler of African unity, ATBIF promises to serve as a vital springboard for transformative partnerships that will foster economic independence and stability.
By advancing Africa’s infrastructure and encouraging regional cooperation, the forum hopes to bring the African dream of integration and shared prosperity closer to reality.
