Born on December 19, 1968, in Ogugu, Enugu State, Chief Ogbonna’s early years were rooted in the values of his community, where his journey from Ogugu Central School in the 1970s laid the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. He ventured as far as Sokoto State to complete his secondary education, driven by a determination to excel, and later returned to Enugu to earn a degree in Mass Communication from the prestigious Enugu State University of Science and Technology in 1994.

His career path has spanned continents and sectors, beginning in Johannesburg, South Africa, in the mid-90s. Overcoming the challenges of a new environment, he quickly rose through the ranks in business. By 1999, he founded Eagles Watch Security and Cleaning Services CC, a groundbreaking venture as the first black foreign African-owned security company in Pretoria. His efforts paved the way for other African entrepreneurs and set high standards in security and service, marking him as a trailblazer.

In the years that followed, Chief Ogbonna expanded his business portfolio by founding several other successful ventures, including Divine Watch Security and Cleaning Services and OGB Logistics CC, further solidifying his presence in South Africa’s business landscape. His success across sectors, from security to logistics, reflects his strategic vision and leadership acumen, making him a respected name in the business world.

Chief Ogbonna’s leadership was not confined to his professional life. His commitment to community welfare began early, with his tenure as President of Awgu Local Government Students during his university years and later as President of the All Nigerians in Eastern Cape South Africa (ANECSA). Through these roles, he advocated for Nigerians abroad, promoting unity and advancing their rights and interests in foreign lands. His achievements earned him widespread respect, both among his compatriots and within his host community in South Africa.
