Sam Adeyemi: Innovation, Panacea to Economic Sustainability

Sunday Ehigiator

The Lead Pastor, Daystar Christian Center, Dr. Sam Adeyemi, has urged the world to embrace innovation as a solution to thrive in challenging economic times.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of this year’s Excellence in Leadership Conference, Adeyemi noted that innovation presents an opportunity to add value to the world while also serving as a means of creating economic prosperity for those who engage in it.
He noted that true innovation is aimed at solving existing problems from a place of love for humanity and an intention to see people lead more productive lives.
“We need to innovate because there is a lot of suffering going on in our world. The existence of problems is what establishes the need for innovation. We need to innovate because it is the way to thrive as the world changes.
“Innovation boosts productivity and revenue. Your capacity to solve problems and generate revenue is tied to your capacity to innovate. You have the capacity to bring into existence things that have never existed before.”
He further stated that differences in cultural conditioning plays a major role in the amount of productivity that certain societies produce.

He, however, urged leaders to not only innovate but also influence innovation in the various circle where they operate.

Some of the nuggets he advised leaders to imbibe to foster a culture of innovation include providing guidance to younger leaders, studying to generate innovative ideas, encouraging others to take ownership of their vision, delegate tasks, empower others, find the genius in others and celebrate diversity.

On her part, the Co-Host of the event and wife of the Senior Pastor, Daystar Christian Center, Mrs. Nike Adeyemi speaking on the topic, ‘The Soul of an Innovative Leader’ stated that as a matter of urgency, participants must awaken their God given gifts and talents and contribute the same to build a greater world.

“You came to this earth to be an answer to someone, and others will be an answer to you in the areas you need as well. When you were young, you dreamt of things. You created things on the go.

“Who took those dreams from your heart? Somewhere along the line, you thought they were beyond you. You have something to give. Look within your soul. If you are designed that way, why are you thinking otherwise.”
