The first season, according to Check Edgar, is all about his personal stories, “but Season 2 promises appearances from friends, celebrities, and even fans sharing their wild relationship tales. So, whether you’re single or dating, this podcast will make you laugh—and maybe help Edgar find the love of his life.”

Edgar is a creative who has managed to use a podcast as a vehicle to transport struggles into something very entertaining. A go-to podcast for hilarious, bizarre and heartwarming dating stories, the show is a therapy of sorts for survivors of abusive relationships and a reassurance that they are not alone. It also showcases the imperfections that can constitute roadblocks to long term relationship.

One of the biggest hits so far is ‘Love is Blind’, where Edgar takes listeners on a rollercoaster ride through his awkward blind date with Loveth, a partially blind woman from Ibadan. From her accent to her mispronunciations, the encounter left Edgar speechless—literally and figuratively. Edgar’s storytelling is not just fun—it’s immersive.

He uses voiceovers, acted-out scenarios, and sound effects to bring each story to life. But it’s not all about him. The second Season of the podcast will feature guests with their own wild dating stories, including celebrities and fans.

Edgar’s inbox is already buzzing with submissions from listeners eager to share their relationship mishaps. And with a December 2024 celebration party in the works and plans for a video podcast launch in January 2025, the excitement is growing. But, what happens when a storyteller decides to make his dating life public? This, perhaps, explains the podcast has quickly become a favourite for the growing audience.
