As part of its strategies to contain climate challenges and boost environmental conservation in the country, Printrite Foundation for Sustainable Environment and Education (PFSEE), plans to plant five to ten million trees annually.

Opportunities and Strategic Partnerships” in Abuja.
He said the plan was to raise between four to ten million tree seedlings annually, saying it was part of a broader strategy to engage school-aged pupils, youths, volunteers, women farmers and the public in environmental conservation.
“The aim is to plant 10 million trees by 2030 in Nigeria by conserving territorial ecosystem and enhancing the nation’s carbon sink in alignment with the planting climate change agreement”, he said
He said the 0ne of it’s partners, Community Development Advocacy Foundation (CODAC), was also developing the Plastic Alternative Containe (PAC) campaign with PFSEE.
“The idea is to encourage supermarkets, restaurants and medicine stores to transition from single use plastics package material”, he said.
On his part, the representative of Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Christophe Baziyamo, said plastic waste was a major component of terrestrial litter.
“It impacts landscapes, roadways and public areas”, he said while noting that the widespread use and improper disposal of single-use plastic had adverse environmental impact.
