Kirti’s Kare Foundation and the entire Indian business community are thrilled to receive India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to Nigeria
In a statement issued by the Founder, KKF, Dr Kirti Sudhanshu, she extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Modi’s scheduled visit on November 17, 2024.
According to her, the visit marks a significant milestone in the strengthening the bond between India and Nigeria.
“As members of the Kirti’s Kare Foundation (KKF), both in India and Nigeria, we view this as an opportunity to engage directly with Prime Minister Modi, as well as to reflect on the longstanding historical, cultural, and economic ties between the two countries.
“Our community looks forward to interacting with the Prime Minister and sharing ideas on how we can further enhance the collaboration between India and Nigeria,” she said.
Highlighting the importance of India-Nigeria relations, she said Nigeria has long been regarded as a “fatherland” for many Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), stressing that the visit provides an opportunity to deepen trade ties not only on a governmental level but also on a grassroots level.
“It is a moment for us to reflect on the visionary leadership of both Prime Minister Modi and Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“President Tinubu—affectionately known as Jagaban—has made significant strides in improving the Nigerian system.
“His leadership has brought new hope to the nation, and we, as members of the KKF, stand by his efforts for a better, more prosperous Nigeria.
“While transformation can be challenging, we believe that under President Tinubu’s leadership, positive changes are on the horizon. Every transformation requires patience, and just as Dubai has demonstrated, visionary leadership can result in remarkable change over time,” she stated.
Similarly, she pointed out that Prime Minister Modi’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most influential leaders in the world is a testament to the power of perseverance and vision.
She pointed out that his leadership has improved the lives of millions of ordinary Indians, stressing that his visit to Nigeria promises to open up new doors for both nations to thrive economically, socially, and culturally.
“At KKF, our core mission has always been to promote “Kindness with No Frontiers”, and we believe this guiding principle can also shape the future of India-Nigeria relations. As Non-Resident Indians living in Nigeria, we feel deeply connected to both countries, and we are committed to contributing to Nigeria’s development through empowerment, economic support, and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
“Prime Minister Modi’s visit will undoubtedly strengthen the ties between India and Nigeria, opening doors to more opportunities for collaboration in business, education, and technology. It is a moment to celebrate the shared values of both nations—values of hard work, resilience, and the belief that the common man can change the world.
“As we welcome Prime Minister Modi to Nigeria, we also offer our prayers for President Tinubu’s vision to come to fruition. We recognize that transformation is never easy and that it often involves difficult transitions. However, we trust that these efforts will soon bear fruit, and the people of Nigeria will experience the positive changes they so deeply deserve.
“The KKF community stands in solidarity with both nations and believes that the visit of Prime Minister Modi will foster a renewed sense of collaboration and mutual support. We pray for continued peace and prosperity for Nigeria, and for the Indian community here to feel even more at home as we work together to contribute to the growth of this great nation.
“In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Modi for making this important visit to Nigeria, and we look forward to seeing the lasting benefits of this strengthened relationship between our two countries,” Ambassador Dr.Kirti added.
