Speaking when distributing the vehicles at the Government House, Lafia, the governor said the use of vehicles by security agents in the discharge of their duties has helped to curtail bureaucratic bottlenecks.
According to Sule, “The policy of providing operational vehicles to arm and enhance their functions and operations will improve their dignity and performance towards the realisation of government policies and objectives.
“Procurement of operational vehicles to our security agents has in the past improved their success in crime fighting which has helped in the relative peace we are enjoying today in the state.”
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mohammed Ubandoma, applauded the governor for procuring vehicles for security operatives so that the residents of the state will enjoy peace.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dr. Margaret Elayo, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Humanitarian Services and NGOs, requested for a standing ovation for Governor Sule in recognition of the giant strides being recorded by his administration.
She also urged the beneficiaries to utilize the vehicles for the purpose they are meant for.
