RKK Group Wins AfriSAFE 2024 Innovative Product Award

Nigerian business conglomerate, RKK Group, has won the Best Innovative Product for Sustainability Award at the Africa Safety Award for Excellence (AfriSAFE) 2024, held in Livingstone, Zambia.

RKK Group launched the iRESS Solar Backpack, a renewable energy solution aimed at expanding clean energy access to small scale businesses across Nigeria.

The iRESS Solar Backpack features a portable multifunctional design integrating a foldable solar panel, a lithium phosphate battery, and an inverter system designed to harness solar power and provide reliable energy for daily use, particularly in off-grid areas.

CEO RKK Group, Aderemi Kilaso, highlighted the broader significance of the iRESS solar backpack, linking it to global sustainability objectives. He noted that the product contributes to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in promoting clean energy access and supporting sustainable economic development.

While expressing gratitude for the recognition, he attributing the Group’s success to the collective efforts of his team and the company’s commitment to expanding access to clean energy, improving energy education, and empowering communities.
