FAAN to Shut Down Power Supply to Lagos International Airport for 4 Hours Today

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that it would shut down power supply to the international terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos for over four hours.


In a statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Obiageli Orah, the agency said  electricity supply would , be off at the terminal between  the hours  of 0100hrs and 0430hrs (four hours, 30 minutes) in the morning of Saturday (today), November 16, 2024 for the replacement  of the Bus Riser 11KVA high tension panel.


“The proposed  electrical power supply maintenance  shutdown  will be carried  out with minimal  disruption  to flight operations  and passenger  facilitation. Royal Air Maroc ,which operates within  the maintenance  hour, will be relocated  for  check-in  and arrival  (parking) formalities  to  International Terminal 1( ITZ- 1); that is the olf terminal.


FAAN said it would notify airlines, security agencies and concessioners, adding that it regretted any inconvenience caused  to stakeholders and passengers.
“The safety  and security of all airport users will  always be paramount in our considerations,” it stated.
