Tinubu Rejoices With BPE DG, Ayodeji Gbeleyi At 60

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi, as he celebrates his 60th birthday today.

President Tinubu, in a release issued yesterday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, joined the celebration, praising Mr. Gbeleyi for his dedicated service to the country and acknowledging his significant contributions in attracting foreign direct investments.

He commended Gbeleyi for his unwavering commitment to reform at various levels—private sector, sub-national, and national—and recognises his leadership in modernising public institutions vital to the nation’s progress.

The President expressed confidence that Gbeleyi’s disciplined approach, attention to detail, and ability to inspire excellence in individuals and processes will significantly contribute to the ongoing reforms in diversification.

President Tinubu prayed for God Almighty to grant Gbeleyi good health and longevity, wishing him continued success at the Bureau.

 As BPE DG, Gbeleyi plays a pivotal role in transforming and optimising public enterprises nationwide.

Gbeleyi’s impressive career includes serving as the Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State and as the founding Director-General of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships. He has also been the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer at GA Capital Limited.

An award-winning chartered accountant, Gbeleyi is a distinguished fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

He holds an MBA from the University of Navarra (IESE) in Spain. He has advanced his education through executive programs at esteemed institutions such as the London Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and Lagos Business School.
