Dr. Ope Banwo, the author of Kingmaker of Muguland has revealed that his planned book launch was cancelled due to internal considerations.

Dr. Banwo announced the cancellation of the launch of his political and historical fictional book barely hours before the event

The launch event was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 17, via a virtual Zoom session.

In a statement signed by the author, he expressed regret over the difficult decision, emphasising that it was not influenced by external pressures or coercion. He clarified that no government or political entity was involved in the cancellation.

While the public launch of “Kingmaker of Muguland” has been called off, Banwo reassured readers and supporters that the broader “Chronicles of Muguland” series remains active and on track.

“This ambitious 10-book project, set in the fictional nation of Muguland, will continue as planned,” Banwo stated. “I am excited to confirm that the next book in the series, “The Children of Anger”, is scheduled for release in December.” Regarding the gifts promised to be given out at the launch event, Banwo assured supporters and fans that they would definitely receive it

He reiterated that “Kingmaker of Muguland” is purely a work of historical fiction. “While inspired by broad themes from real life, it does not depict any actual events or individuals. Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.”

Banwo urged interested readers to secure their copies of “Kingmaker of Muguland” through the official sales page of the book, adding that it may be active for a limited time.
