Resource Intermediaries Announces Leadership Transition After Olusoji Oyawoye Retires
“It was time for me to turn the page at 60, retiring by policy but not tired.” Olusoji Oyawoye said on his personal social media handles while appearing to hold back tears.
Oyawoye’s legacy is one of transformational leadership and sustainable growth. He cultivated a culture of excellence and empowerment within the organisation, attracting and nurturing talented individuals who are driven to create positive customer experiences.
His commitment to internal talent development and promotion fostered loyalty and dedication among the RIL team, leading to the expansion of the business into multiple countries. Inspired by RIL’s versatile Board, he led the expansion of the Business with the business now in six locations and operates fully owned subsidiary businesses.
His retirement takes effect on December 6, 2024. The Board has appointed Ademolasoye Awonaike as MD/CEO.
Awonaike, before now, was the ED, Business Development of Resource Intermediaries Limited Nigeria.
He is a graduate of Economics with a specialty in Finance and Credit from Kharkiv State University Ukraine, and he holds an MBA in International Business Relations from Lagos State University.
He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management, an affiliate of the University of Singapore, and a Member of the London Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Awonaike also sits on the Board of Resource Intermediaries (Ghana) Limited.
